For Universities
A structured way to reinforce financial literacy, encourage participation, and connect athletes with practical tools.

ABOUT NILBUDGET
NILBudget is the budgeting and cash-flow tool used for the Athlete Finance League. It helps student-athletes understand what may remain after taxes, business costs, commitments, savings goals, and other financial priorities.
THE BIGGER MISSION
Athlete Finance League is a financial-literacy platform designed to help universities, athletic organizations, and student-athletes make money education more engaging, competitive, and practical.
Rather than offering another lecture, AFL uses creative learning experiences, challenges, games, points, team participation, and athlete-centered tools. Athletes build knowledge they can use during college, throughout their NIL journey, and long after their playing careers end.
Universities and organizations can support structured education and engagement while respecting the privacy of each athlete’s personal financial information.
A structured way to reinforce financial literacy, encourage participation, and connect athletes with practical tools.
A private workspace for learning about NIL income, cash flow, tax reserves, spending, goals, and major decisions.
Education supporting better conversations about credit, business, taxes, saving, investing, and life after sports.
WHY NILBUDGET IS AVAILABLE SEPARATELY
NILBudget is also a standalone entry point so athletes whose universities are not currently partnered with the Athlete Finance League can still build a clearer plan for NIL income.
It helps athletes organize income, separate contracts from cash received, estimate tax reserves, track spending and mileage, prepare for irregular income, and think carefully before major commitments.
Universities, sponsors, and brands do not receive automatic access to private financial information. Athletes control what they share with trusted professionals.

Parents can help an athlete gather income and expense information, discuss family-support boundaries, prepare questions for a CPA or financial advisor, and review a PDF the athlete intentionally shares.
Adult athletes remain in control of their private budget. Parents should not automatically receive access to income, tax, or spending information. For minors, appropriate parental consent and involvement should be used.
Ask how your family can use NILBudgetEDUCATION—NOT PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
Calculations, projections, tax reserves, mileage estimates, allocations, and decision tools are educational estimates only. They are not tax, legal, investment, accounting, lending, or financial advice and do not guarantee results.
We encourage every athlete to learn about these topics and build a trusted professional team. Depending on individual circumstances, that may include a qualified CPA or tax professional, financial advisor, attorney, agent, or bookkeeper.
Education helps athletes ask better questions. Qualified professionals help athletes apply the rules to their individual circumstances.
