NIL activity may affect immigration status, visa conditions, employment authorization, and school compliance. NILBudget does not determine whether an athlete may perform services, receive compensation, or operate a business in the United States or elsewhere.
Tax residency and treaties
Tax residency, withholding, treaty benefits, reporting, and the treatment of cash or noncash compensation can differ significantly for international athletes. Platform estimates may not model these rules.
Multi-country and multi-state activity
Income earned or services performed across states or countries may create additional filing, registration, or reporting obligations. Entered locations are educational inputs and do not determine legal or tax nexus.
